Objectives:
The Service Line Director objective is to maximize the sales opportunity by bringing technical and subject matter expertise to build further credibility in regards to Axway’s products, solutions and delivery capability.

Duties / Responsibilities:

The Director will generate a high-level architectural design and use a consultative approach to identify point-of-pain solutions and best practices. The Director must be able to present at both the “C” level and Department-Manager level.

Develop an understanding of Axway products, technology and services and their relationship to our customer’s business objectives.

Director will be senior subject matter experts in the financial services domain. Ultimately, the Director’s are responsible for a high-level understanding of all Axway products including and beyond their domain expertise.

Assess prospect’s business and technical environment and develop the initial solution architecture for a full end-to-end solution using Axway products and applicable partner solutions. The Director will be responsible for researching and understanding the client’s industry and business model in order to build an appropriate technical architecture solution and help decrease the sales cycle time by building upon a trusted client relationship.

The Director will transition information to the appropriate Services Director, managing consultant and Practice Manager, or both, once a transaction has been awarded.

Develop and deliver executive level presentations on the business value of the technology and business drivers of our solutions

Liaison between the Direct Sales organization, Alliance Management and Partners, pre-Sales SAs, and Professional Services Delivery team

When the design solution has been determined, the Director will focus on bringing in the appropriate planning resources from Axway Professional Services Delivery and Planning (through the area Practice Manager).

Assist in the development of tools and solutions that will result in increased revenue from strategic sales campaigns relative to services

Participate in the development of a service and sales best practices knowledge base

Assist Quality and Operations in the building of a service process infrastructure for all Directors to include Methodology, Tools, and Templates which will be documented in Axway’s Service Methodology to promote repeatability and consistency across regions

Skills / Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability of actively participating in the sales process and experience in developing and articulating system solution architecture

Experience in large implementations in one of the financial services domain vertical

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple opportunities in an environment of constantly changing priorities

Demonstrated superior ability to deliver executive level presentations and establish immediate credibility and inspire confidence with maturity, energy and articulate communication

Demonstrated superior knowledge of all aspects of sales process

Education:
Must be willing and available to travel 50-75%
Possess excellent written and verbal skills
Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
Ability to motivate individuals from different organizations to focus on achieving a common goal
Ability to thrive on chaos, creating order and consensus among individuals with multiple conflicting objectives
Ability to think outside the box and craft solutions within given constraints
Ability to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to be organized, flexible and able to work under pressure.
Exhibit ability to be strong team player
BA/BS in business, management or technology field. MBA with an emphasis in marketing and business strategy is highly desirable
7+ years relevant software and/or industry experience
7+ years software pre-sales or consulting experience
7+ years experience consulting with external clients is required
Knowledge of Axway products and technology is highly desirable
Project management experience is desirable
